You see, he isn’t a large man. In fact, I think that he is just a little bit taller than me (5’1). He explained that the groups he traveled with greatly looked down on him (literally and metaphorically) and expected him to be the first to turn back. Although his size did inevitably present challenges, he relied on his outgoing and strong-willed personality to prove to them that he deserved to make it up that mountain as much as the rest of them. That story found a way to bury its way deep into my brain and has managed to stay put LONG after I passed that class. Since starting my business, I have made it my goal to implement the overarching theme of that story into the work that I do. So, I have made it my mission to help creative businesses to ditch sleazy sales schemes to market their business, and simply just use their personalities instead!
Somewhere in my journey through college, I found myself sitting through an Astronomy class. After realizing the course wasn’t going to be staring at beautiful images of galaxies every day, I found myself calculating the distance between the moon’s craters. Knowing that I needed to figure out a way to be besties with my professor if I ever wanted to leave with a passing grade, I set up a meeting with him (and I even brought cookies). During our time chatting after class one day, I learned that he was a THREE-TIME MOUNT EVEREST MOUNTAINEER. For entirety of the two hour meeting, we talked about nothing astronomical. Instead, we chatted about his expeditions and the greatest things he learned throughout them. The one that had the biggest impact on me? The one that proved that personality is truly everything.

FOR CREATIVES SICK OF SLEEZY, SALESY MARKETING STRATEGIES
I am Madyson (she/her), and I am happy you found my little part of this big 'ole freaking world! Creatively expressing myself has always been my jam. Seriously, picture a 10-year-old writing fictional stories about fairies finding themselves trapped in the unrelenting grasp of humans. Y’all, my imagination was wild… Then, when I got a bit older (maybe 14?), my dad asked me to run his Instagram account for his startup business with complete creative freedom! From that moment on, I knew, without a shadow of a doubt, that I needed to find a way to make those things my forever job when I got older. As a teenager, I had big dreams, but I had no clue how I was going to actually make those a reality. Eventually, I found marketing, and I was actually pretty good at it (humility, y’all). Madyson Clark Creative was born – obviously more went into that story, but I know you don’t have all day to read into my business arc! So, what do ya say we just get into the nitty gritty?!
